2027 Announcement
The Watercolor West Board is devoted to the legacy of Watercolor West and continuing its mission to advance and promote the appreciation of transparent watercolor.
We are thrilled to announce that the in 2027 the 58th Watercolor West International Juried Exhibition will be back at the Hilbert Museum of California Art at Chapman University. We have been invited back for a three month show. The show will run from September 29th, 2027 to January 9th, 2028.
We look forward to celebrating another year together!

Our Mission Statement
To promote and advance the appreciation of purely transparent watercolor painting through education, exhibition and community service .
Our Vision Statement
Watercolor West promotes the worldwide appreciation for and the use of purely transparent watercolor in fine art in several ways. We sponsor one International Open Juried Exhibition for transparent watercolor paintings each year. We offer educational workshops and organize demonstrations on the use of transparent watercolors by leading artists. We contribute to the artistic education community by sponsoring scholarships that will promote the appreciation for the beauty and relevance of transparent watercolors. We keep both our membership and the public informed through our interactive website which includes a quarterly newsletter and all pertinent information about the exhibits, the demonstrations, the workshops and current events. It is our sincerest hope and vision that through our efforts fine art throughout the world will always include paintings using transparent watercolor.
